''Shantae: Half-Genie Hero'', stylized as ''Shantae: ½ Genie Hero'', is an upcoming platform video game and the fourth installment of the series currently in development by WayForward Technologies and Inti Creates for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It is the fourth game in the ''Shantae'' series, following ''Shantae and the Pirate's Curse'', and the first to be specifically developed for high definition game platforms. It is planned for release in the holiday of 2015.〔〔https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1236620800/shantae-half-genie-hero/posts/611003〕 On August 23, 2014, the Hero Modes stretch goal was reached, which means that the player will also be able to play as Shantae's friends Sky, Bolo and Rottytops.
